Betty Turner (and Diane Botica) welcome early arrivals. People started arriving for the festivities earlier than the announced 5:30 p.m. starting time. Over 500 were in attendence.

Janet Litke, retired Food Service Supervisor at NBHS and member of Last Dance Committee with help from food service staff served up punch and free hors d'oeuvres. Bison wear (souvenir T-shirts and sweatshirts) were available. Zdanis Photography was taking group photos. Yearbooks, trophies, and other memorabilia were on display from the last 60 years of "NBHS", and tours of the "new NBHS" (still under construction) were conducted.

It was almost an overwhelming experience, cramming that much history into such a short evening. What differentiated this from other reunions? Families… Generations of NBHS students roaming the halls: Cooks, Herrbachs, Hildebrands, Kissmans, Krugers, Kryckas, Oselkas, Prices, Schroeders – and many more – all reminiscing and seeking out long lost friends and classmates.
