Erin VonEhr, an 18-year-old senior and the daughter of Kevin and Sandy VonEhr was crowned Miss New Buffalo before an audience of 460 Saturday at the new high school.

She is a member of the National Honor Society, the marching and concert bands, volleyball team, and was named to Who's Who Among American High School Students.

Erin plans to attend Hope College in Holland, where she wants to study either elementary education or nursing.

Named first runner-up in the community Blossom Queen contest was Kelly Oselka, 17, of New Buffalo. A senior at New Buffalo High School, where she is a member of the National Honor Society, Kelly is the daughter of Rolland and Pamela Oselka.

Danielle Schultz was named second runner-up. The daughter of Fred and Donna Schultz, she is a senior at New Buffalo High School.

The contestants voted Brittany Meyers as Miss Congeniality. Meyers, the daughter Suzanne and the late Larry Meyers, is a senior at New Buffalo High School.
