ALUMNI IN THE SPOTLIGHT

Robin S. Di Carlo – New Buffalo High School Class of '79

Robin entered the U.S. Army soon after graduation – serving 22 years so far. He is a Sergeant First Class and currently on assignment in Honduras.

His duties? Ironically nothing that would reward his clowning around...he's a BlackHawk Helicopter mechanic and Flight Platoon Sergeant. His duty stations have included Germany, Hawaii, Washington state, South Korea, Texas, North Carolina, Virginia, and Egypt.

Robin has been married twice — but only one wife, and he says she's his best friend — Angel (12+ years).

Getting the "itch" playing Tevye in "Fiddler on the Roof" while at New Buffalo, he's takes every opportunity to keep in hands on the Theatre and entertainment industry. While Stationed in Hawaii, Robin worked with the cast and crew of "Magnum PI" when military aircraft and extras were required. He also worked in local theater in Hawaii and "entertained" around "Waikiki" as one half of "The Blues Brothers". (Seems they we were local celebrities on Oahu.) When duty called in Korea, opportunity struck there as well -- the USO hired his band to entertain troops in-country.

For the Past six years, Robin has maintained an association with the folks and the Bose Corporation (the speaker people) in preparation for a second career, after the Army.
