Jody Moulik New Buffalo High School Class of '69
WTOC in Savannah, Georgia has market share ratings so high that broadcast professionals' jaws drop with disbelief on reading them, thinking someone must have made a typo. But no, the numbers are real. WTOC rules literally. According to Inside Savannah Magazine much of the credit for WTOC's awesome ratings, goes to their team of newscasters which includes NB Class of '69 graduate, former Miss New Buffalo (1969), actress, and former varsity cheerleader Jody (Moulik) Chapin.
Jody joined WTOC in 1986 in commercial production. After a year, Jody joined the WTOC news crew as a reporter. While in the news department she trained with meteorologist, Pat Prokop, to become a fill-in weather anchor. In 1988 she moved into the early morning weather anchor position where she actually learned to like getting up at 3:30 in the morning! Jody now co-anchors both The News at 5, and The News at 6 .
Jody has also been singled out by Inside Savannah for her theatre work both as an actress and director.
