NB Grad Wins Big Ten Awards
After a strong showing at the Big Ten Field Championships this Spring, New Buffalo Alumnus Beth Rohl was named both Big Ten Field Athlete of the Year and Big Ten Field Athlete of the championships.
Beth has also been named to All American two years running and she was just tagged by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as the USTFCCCA's Great Lakes Field Athlete of the Year.
Beth is not only is the first Spartan female Athlete to win these honors but also the first field athlete in school history Big Ten Athlete of the Year or Big Ten Athlete of the Championships in either field or track. Rohl is the first female All-American since 2008 when Nicole Bush earned honors in both the 3,000m and 5,000m races.
Beth is a 2008 Gradudate of NBHS and a MSU sophomore.
