Marc Ruzicka New Buffalo High School Class of '82
What's a Valedictorian to do? Well, this one went to MSU where he majored in Materials and Logistics Management. He also helped start the men's club volleyball team there and was a member of Delta Sigma Phi fraternity.
After getting his bachelor's degree he headed out west to seek fame and fortune and landed in San Diego where he hooked up Defense contractor General Dynamics. But after awhile, he got the itch for more education and returned to graduate work Notre Dame. In 1991, armed with new MBA, Marc went to work at Ford Motor Company making sure factory production lines did not run out of materials to build new cars. Five-years and wunderlust apparently got the better of him again, because he packed his bags and headed back out west. Making it as far as Tempe, Arizona. He chose to return to school again. Four years later Marc had a Ph.D. degree is in Supply Chain Management from Arizona State University.
Marc's graduating class at NBHS voted him "most likely to succeed"...guess they had him figured out early.
Today, Marc (now Dr. Ruzicka) is an Assistant Professor at the University of
Tennessee in the Department of Marketing, Logistics and Transportation in the College of Business. He's active in breeding and showing English Bulldogs and volunteering time at local food banks.
